Money Making Websites

The masses are starting to catch on to the amazing potential that small monetized websites have to offer. They are today’s vending machines, car washes, and laundry mats, only no one is going to break in at night and steal your quarters! There are three main types of websites that almost anyone can make that will create a steady stream of passive income. They are AdSense sites, Single Product Sites or Affiliate Sites, and Vendor Sites.

AdSense Websites

AdSense Websites are simple websites that offer quality content to people seeking information. These sites are often designed with Google in mind. The creators of these sites will do all that they can to meet Google’s quality guidelines so that Google will bless them with a first page ranking for their keyword. Once the site owner has stuffed this site full of quality content, they create an AdSense account and paste Google Ads on the top of every page. It’s not as easy as slapping a few pages together though. Careful thought and evaluation must go into the market you select and the keywords you use. You also need to learn how to create relevant, high-quality backlinks to your site. If properly coached, most people can make a couple of these sites per week and keep their day job. The idea is to seek out success for less competitive keywords, but then target lots and lots of keywords. Also keep in mind that once these sites are built, you can walk away and money will continue to come in for weeks, months, or even years.

Single Product Websites/Affiliate Sites

Single Product Websites/Affiliate Sites are similar to the AdSense sites, only instead of being designed to carry AdSense Ads; these sites are designed with a specific affiliate product in mind. Affiliate products are easy to find if you know where to go. Perhaps the best know source of affiliate products is ClickBank.com. ClickBank is like a giant shopping mall of potential products to market on your website. Vendors of information-based products pay the best. 50-75% of the sale is often offered as a commission to the affiliate marketer. ClickBank serves as a sort of affiliate product broker. They help vendors market their products, but they also make sure that affiliates (you) get paid as well. If a Vendor doesn’t pay, then a Vendor doesn’t get to do business on the best know affiliate product site. These sites have the opportunity to be considerably more profitable than the Adsense sites because the creator will often make an additional attempt to create a sale. Owners of these sites offer newsletters, mini-courses, training, and free reports in exchange for your email address. Owners of these sites will deliver on their promise of additional information, but they will also offer an opportunity to purchase their product. The product they offer will always be the perfect solution to your problem.

Vendor Websites

Vendor Websites are a bit more advanced, and should not be attempted by a beginner, they’re simply too complicated. In essence they are the same as the affiliate sites mentioned above, but this time the site owner is also the creator of the product being sold. As mentioned earlier, you must provide quality content to succeed in this business. Over time you develop an ability to generate a large amount of quality content in lesser period of time. Creating an E-book seems less like mission impossible, and more like something you can do over the weekend. Maybe even something you can sub out and pay for with the money your other sites have generated for you. Newsletters and the like are used here to boost sales as well, only with this type of site you keep 100% of the profit instead of the 50% offered to affiliates.

The descriptions above were intended to give a beginner a glimpse into the world of the internet marketer, and I hope I’ve succeeded at that. If you’re considering creating some of these money making websites yourself, then I offer only the traditional advice. Knowledge is power. There are several large and highly successful sites dedicated to the training and education of the would-be affiliate marketer or website builder. Check out several options before committing to one. Most will offer a free trial, or a $1 trial and a money back guarantee. So how do you know if you’ve got a good one? What I’ve found is that the best will offer loads and loads of free high quality information, they’ll give away more up front than you would get if you paid the other guy. A lesser site will offer little if any training up front because they would quickly run out of material to sell you. The quality sites often offer an over-their-shoulder approach to teaching, usually in the form of video training. You’ll generally watch them build a website from start to finish using the software that they provide free to their members.
